Discover the convenience of public transportation during your stay at Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam Amstel. Just a 3-minute walk from the hotel is Metro Station Overamstel. This makes us the ideal base as a hotel with excellent connections to all parts of Amsterdam.

At Metrostation Overamstel you can check in and out with your OV chip card, debit card or credit card. Ideal if you occasionally travel by public transport. For the center of Amsterdam, choose metro 51 towards Central Station. Going to the Johan Cruijff Arena or Ziggo Dome? Then take metro 50 in the direction of Gein.

Fares GVB

When you travel on balance, you pay a fixed basic fare plus a fixed rate per kilometer. So you pay for what you travel.

  • Basic fare: €1,08

  • Flat rate per kilometer: €0,196

There is a reduced fare for children aged 4 to 11 and people aged 65+. This is subject to a basic fare of €0.71 and a flat rate of €0.129 p/km.
