Backyard is your ultimate cycling buddy app that turns your hotel stay into a local adventure. Backyard lets you explore a series of carefully curated cycling routes around your hotel and discover unique hotspots that tourists usually miss.
Each route is enriched with unmissable hotspots such as hidden viewpoints, popular cafes, historical landmarks and local meeting places.

Bike rental
Discover Amsterdam by bike as a local! In just 15 minutes, you can cycle to Museumplein, The Amstelpark, or the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Would you like help with mapping out your route? Our reception staff will be happy to help you!
You can rent our bikes at the reception. Unfortunately, it is not possible to book bikes in advance. Credit card guarantee is mandatory when renting a bike.
Prices:
Per day (24 hours): €18
Evening (17:00 - 01:00): €12
We now also offer e-bikes, so you can enjoy your bike ride even more. Renting an e-bike costs €32,50 per day, with a deposit of €250. A fully charged battery has a range of up to 240 kilometers.
Would you like to bring your own bicycle to the hotel? You can park your bicycle for free in our indoor car park. You can enter and exit the car park with your bicycle. There are also bicycle sheds around the hotel that you can use. These are facilitated by the City of Amsterdam.
You can find our bicycle shed on -1 of our car park. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact our reception staff.
